Elegant Beginnings: Crafting the Úplná Nula Logo
When I was approached to design the brand identity for Úplná Nula, I knew it needed a visual language that was both simple and elegant, yet full of meaning. The journey began with the logos—both the badge and text versions—each carrying the slogan "0% Alcohol, 100% Taste." The "ú/n" symbol, representing "Úplná Nula," cleverly mirrors the concept of a percentage, perfectly encapsulating the brand’s promise of delivering full flavor without alcohol. This minimalist yet impactful design captures the essence of what Úplná Nula is all about.
A Palette of Vitality: Colors That Tell a Story
With the logos established, I focused on the color palette. Earthy tones, vibrant reds, and soothing sage were chosen to evoke a sense of health, vitality, and natural beauty. These colors are inspired by the works of Alphonse Mucha, the Czech artist renowned for blending elegance with intricate detail. The palette grounds the brand in a sense of heritage while giving it a fresh, modern feel.
Typography with Purpose: Fonts that Speak Elegance and Simplicity
For the typography, each font was chosen with purpose. The display font echoes the timeless artistry of Mucha, with its graceful curves and strong lines, adding a touch of grandeur to the brand’s visual identity. The header font was selected for its ability to maintain elegance and timelessness without being overly ornate, ensuring the brand feels refined yet accessible. Finally, the body font was chosen for its simplicity, grounding the overall design and making sure that all communications are clear, approachable, and easy to read.
